Board Members

Anastasia, better known as Anja, has been a rabbit hole member since 2017 and an aerial artist since 2015. A member had invented them to perform a duet at the Annual Absinthe Masquerade at the space,and they’ve been in love since. A home away from home, you can often find Anja rolling around the floor just as much as in the silks at the studio.

Movement based expression has captured Anja soul and body; they love to share their tips and tricks on cultivating mind/body connection, and would be happy to spot you in a sequence you’ve been working on to help you feel safe and empowered in space.

You can look to Anja for training with rigging equipment as well as questions about orientations and new members. They love to help and ensure members feel welcome and safe at the Rabbit Hole, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions and comments.

Cal has been in love with circus since 2017, when they hopped on a lyra for the first time on their birthday. Ever since, they have been training at studios all around the cities - and if you happen to go to lyra classes at some of the NE studios, there’s a pretty good chance you might run into them.

Cal’s primary focus as an aerialist is on artistry and choreography, and they love collaborating with others to discover new pathways and shapes up in the air. These days, Cal mainly trains lyra, but occasionally rolls around on dance trapeze and pole (sometimes successfully).

During the day, Cal works as a Video Game Producer and is especially good at organizing and keeping things together! They live in NE Mpls with their elusive partner and fellow artist, Lee Jin, and their horrible cat, Mari.

Head of the Board extraordinaire, number cruncher, master fixer of all things! He loves rock climbing, building community, and making big interactive art.

Kara is a Rabbit Hole OG. She was an original member, taught yoga classes at the space for several years, participated in many workshops and has been an avid supporter of the cooperative before joining the board in 2022.

Artistic performance has always been a first love of Kara’s. She holds a BFA degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. She’s moved on several stages performing dance, fire arts, glow arts, burlesque and militia-media performance. Kara looks forward to deepening her level of support to this beautifully expressive community of practitioners, performers and artists.

Ba'al Brassica, high flying gender bender extraordinaire is often found clowning around and hanging upside down all around the twin cities. Besides performing at children’s parties as their alter ego Kaylyn Balefire (aka Kaylyn the Clown), Ba’al is often found at venues throughout the Twin Cities. With a strong love for circus performance and building stronger communities Ba’al strives to build up a strong, supportive circus family right here at home. Dabbing in many Circus arts, clowning and bringing laughs is at the heart of it all. They perform and (sometimes) teach many unique apparatuses such as Tippy Lyra, Lollipop Lyra, Aerial Hoop,Contact Juggling, Contortion, and Fire Arts. When not found on the stage Ba’al can often be found working long days and nights at their “day” job as a BSN, RN. They love hanging out with their two dogs and five chickens, and of course practicing their circus arts at their home away from home, The Rabbit Hole Studios (The Minnesota Performing Arts Cooperative)!

Ostara Reign is well-seasoned in the Twin Cities as a burlesque performer, emcee, producer, and instructor. She believes that every body is sexy, every body is worthy and every body should be seen. We have been conditioned by society to hide the parts of ourselves that are not "perfect" or "normal" whatever that means. She has made it her mission to create spaces to allow herself and others to be themselves on and off stages. She wants performers to feel sexy in their bodies and she wants audiences to feel this body empowerment and leave a show feeling better about themselves than when they walked in. She co-produces TC Cabaret and you can catch her performing around the Twin Cities.
